Giants Starting Pitcher Tim Lincecum makes his return today against the Brewers, and looks to get the Giants their first win of the second half. Lincecum (11-2) takes on Manny Parra (8-2) in a matchup of solid young pitchers. It will be interesting to see how Lincecum can bounce back after a brief illness kept him out of the All Star Game. He has been outstanding after a Giants loss, and there have been plenty of those for him to pitch after this year.

 Non Baseball Note:

The Dark Knight, released Friday and starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, is without a doubt the movie to see this summer. Their performances are outstanding and the special effects and action are what you would expect after a debut like Batman Begins. The storyline is compelling and kept the audience on the edge of its seat. There were no less than six rounds of applause in the theater at the Saturday night show. A dark movie to be sure, but a film well worth the $10.50.
