Rich Aurilia (37) – One last go with San Francisco.
Casey Blake (35) – He has struggled at the plate this year but is a proven player who drives in runs. Could return to Cleveland.
Hank Blalock (28) - $6.2MM club option for ‘09 with a $0.25MM buyout – Stud hitter who should command a big time contract, five year deal type.
Aaron Boone (36) – Veteran who has made a reputation as a clutch hitter who could make up a platoon.
Russell Branyan (33) – A player who showed flashes of what people thought he could always become as a power threat, Milwaukee could keep him and hope he can bring some run production if they trade Prince Fielder.
Joe Crede (31) – Crede was an all star this year and is a great fielder who battled injuries for the second consecutive season. A solid gamble for a 2-3 year deal.
Wes Helms (33) - $3.75MM club option for ‘09 – Backup type who could platoon.
Mark Loretta (37) – On the downside of his career but should get picked up somewhere as a veteran bat.
