2006 MLB Draft Mulligan Picks 6-10
That’s a pretty big number up there for Morrow.
Original Picks
6 Andrew Miller Detroit Tigers
7 Clayton Kershaw Los Angeles Dodgers
8 Drew Stubbs Cincinnati Reds
9 Bill Rowell Baltimore Orioles
10 Tim Lincecum San Francisco Giants
New Picks
6 Detroit Tigers - Brandon Morrow, RHP - Dominated as the Mariners closer last season before converting to a starting role. His mid to high nineties fastball had him no-hitting the Yankees deep into the game and would match Justin Verlanders at the top of the Detroit rotation.
7 Los Angeles Dodgers - Brett Anderson, LHP - With Kershaw gone Los Angeles could take this powerful lefty and not be doing too bad. Anderson should be in Oakland’s rotation in 09.
8 Cincinnati Reds - Travis Snider, OF - No chance Snider drops to Toronto this time around. His powerful lefthanded bat would play nicely in the future for the Reds alongside Jay Bruce.
9 Baltimore Orioles - Chris Tillman, RHP - Tillman, who ended up with Baltimore anyways in the Erik Bedard trade, has blossomed into one of the top pitchign prospects in the game today.
10 San Francisco Giants - Trevor Cahill, RHP - Cahill, who is one of Oakland’s top pitching prospects, would probably already be in the San Francisco rotation. While he is certainly no Tim Lincecum, he is a force to be reckoned with.
