Season Preview

Brett Myers starts it off for Philadelphia’s title defense tonight against division foe Atlanta, who throws new ace Derek Lowe. A number of new players will be making their NL East debuts.

Raul Ibanez, Phillies LF - Ibanez is a rock solid 20 home run, 100 RBI man who should continue to be a boring presence in a lineup. He won’t have the hot or cold streaks of Pat Burrell, the man he replaces.

Garrett Anderson, Braves LF - Basically a lesser version of Ibanez, a guy who is a lock for solid average, solid RBI and nothing worth remembering.

Jordan Schafer, Braves CF - An exciting young player who should bring 15/15 type of play to the Braves outfield.

Jack Trashner, Giants Castoff (Phillies RP) - He may not pitch tonight, and that would be a good thing for Philly.
